AndrewBaudainsAndrew is the Managing Director and founder of BES. He has focused on the senior executive recruitment market since 2003 and is well known for his excellent work in filling executive jobs in Jersey. He also has significant experience in operational and strategic management in the Channel Islands and the UK. His previous posts include: Senior Manager in the NHS; Director for the States of Jersey; and Senior Manager – Advisory Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers CI LLP.

Previous responsibilities have included: leading a business transformation programme; introducing a departmental coaching service; leading the internal re-structuring process; managing large teams of managers/staff through periods of significant change; and providing executive coaching and recruitment services to a broad range of client organisations.

Andrew is an experienced change manager with a strong healthcare background and has lectured on PhD & MSc programmes at the University of Nottingham. He is a Registered General Nurse having specialised in critical care; a trained NVQ Assessor and Investors in People (IiP) Adviser; he has a Postgraduate Diploma in Policy and Organisation; and also an MSc in Healthcare Management.

Previous honorary positions have included: Chairman of St Mary’s School PTA; Chairman of the British Red Cross Fundraising Committee; Trustee of The Antoine Trust – a local charity which supports children receiving treatment for cancer.

Laura joined BES in November 2014 as a Senior Recruitment Consultant with over 6 years recruitment experience and was promoted to the post of Associate Director in January 2017. Laura works closely with candidates at all levels within the Finance industry.

Laura is a Chartered Accountant with an Honours Degree in Law from Glasgow University. Prior to her roles in recruitment, Laura trained in the corporate tax division of Ernst & Young before moving to Jersey in 2005 to specialise in trust and fund administration with one of the Island’s leading fiduciary service providers.

 

 

Gino Grassini

gino-grassiniGino joined BES as a Consultant in October 2016. Prior to joining, he worked for over 14 years in the banking sector for several leading global banks and investment houses. Gino brings with him a vast knowledge of back and front office functions having held, Supervisor, Team Leader and Manager level roles within the banking sector. Gino’s most recent role was Client Service Manager at Standard Chartered Bank, Jersey.

At BES, Gino is responsible for securing permanent and contract positions with a particular focus on Banking and Investment type roles.

 

 

Yvonne O’Loughlin

Yvonne3Yvonne joined BES in March 2016 as the Administrator and she has extensive office administration experience in both Jersey and UK.  She was previously an IT Trainer before moving to Jersey in 1999 and has since worked for several blue chip companies within the financial services sector.  Yvonne provides administration support to the BES team updating systems and dealing with enquiries to enable the team to focus on direct client and candidate matters.

 Yvonne is also a volunteer at Macmillan Cancer Support.

 

 

Shirley Baudains

Shirley joined the BES team in 2006 as the Office Manager with a wealth of recruitment and administration experience.

Shirley is a trained Bookkeeper and a Registered General Nurse and has a strong healthcare background in both critical care clinical practice and also as a Senior Manager in the NHS in the UK.

Shirley focuses on the financial and back-office administrative management of the business so that the BES team can constantly focus on candidate and client matters.

 

 

Chris Birbeck

Chris is based in London and joined the BES team as a Senior Associate in April 2016. He will have a focus on our UK based clients and sourcing UK candidates as well as supporting the Jersey office on specific assignments. Chris is an experienced senior leader who has worked as a Director in the NHS, as well as having held strategic regional and national senior roles within service provision, governance and regulation. As a senior manager he has extensive experience of working with a range of recruitment policies to ensure best practice and provide high quality, motivated staff for organisations.

Chris is an Executive Coach and Coaching Supervisor and has worked with Directors and Chief Executives of large organisations. As an experienced leadership and organisational development consultant, Chris has worked with Boards and senior teams to provide insight and opportunities for effective outcomes.

Chris has an MSc from Westminster University and a Certificate in International Management from Yale University. He was awarded the Coach/Mentor of the Year (2014) by the NHS Leadership Academy. He is also an Honorary Visiting Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University where he lectures on their MBA programme.
